Welcome to Wessan Legacies, a community memorial platform provided by Weatherill Essentials. This service is a collaborative initiative: managed by our Ministerial Services Division to ensure a foundation of compassion and respect, with technical infrastructure maintained by our Tech Division.

By using our website and submitting content to our "Legacy Form", you agree to the following Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Part 1: Privacy Policy

At Wessan Legacies, we are committed to providing a compassionate and secure environment for honouring the memory of loved ones.

1. Information We Collect

To provide this free memorial service, we collect the following information:

• Submitter Information: Your name and email address. This is strictly used if we need to contact you regarding the status of the memorial or for content verification.

• Memorial Subject Details: The name of the person the memorial is about, their obituary, a biography, and any other stories or details you choose to share.

• Visual Content: Photos of the deceased. While photos are encouraged, they are not required.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Publication: The details of the deceased (Name, Obituary, Photos) will be published on a public memorial page accessible via our primary domain legacies.wessan.org and our secondary domain memorials.wessan.org.

• Communication: Your email address is used solely for administrative purposes related to the specific memorial you submitted.

• No Commercial Use: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Wessan Legacies is a free service with no advertisements or data-mining.

Part 2: Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

Wessan Legacies is a completely free digital memorial service. We provide a platform for families to honour their loved ones. This service is accessible via our primary domain legacies.wessan.org and our secondary domain memorials.wessan.org (both of which connect to the same content). We do not accept money, fees, or donations for this service.

2. Content Submission & User Responsibility

By submitting a memorial, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right or explicit permission to share the stories, details, and obituaries provided.

• Photo Rights: You own the copyright or have obtained permission from the copyright holder to upload any images.

• Flower Placeholder: If you choose not to upload a photo, or do not have the rights to one, Wessan Legacies will automatically display a respectful flower icon in its place.

3. Moderation and Right to Remove

To maintain the dignity of the platform, all submissions are reviewed by the Ministerial Services Division.

• We reserve the right to edit for clarity or refuse any submission that contains inappropriate, offensive, or verifiably false information.

• We reserve the right to remove any memorial at any time if a legitimate rights holder disputes the content.

4. Intellectual Property

By submitting content, you grant Weatherill Essentials a non-exclusive, royalty-free, global licence to display the memorial publicly on our official domains. You retain your original ownership of the content.

5. Liability & Copyright Disputes

• Liability: Weatherill Essentials and Wessan Legacies are not responsible or liable for any unauthorised use of copyrighted material or privacy infringements submitted by users.

• Disputes: If you believe that your work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us immediately. We take these matters seriously and will act promptly to remove infringing content.

6. Limitation of Liability

Wessan Legacies is provided "as is" without any warranties. While our Tech Division strives for maximum uptime across both domains, Weatherill Essentials is not liable for any technical interruptions, loss of data, or the accuracy of user-submitted content.
